WorkSource Georgia Mountains offering two more Welding Bootcamps

Based on the success of its first bootcamp, WorkSource Georgia Mountains has scheduled two more Bootcamps for the fall and is looking for those interested in learning a trade to apply.

Senior Trainer Micah Thomas tells WNEG News anyone who desires immediate full-time employment and is highly motivated to start permanent work is welcome to apply.

Thomas says Worksource Georgia Mountains recently graduated eight students from its welding bootcamp.

Thomas said two more welding boot camps are coming up in October.

These are four-week training classes where students can learn the basics of the welding profession.

The first one is in Gainesville at the WorkSource OneStop office on Thompson Bridge Road, but Thomas said the second one will be in our area.

Thomas said they are still looking for a location to hold the local welding classes and they encourage any welding company to contact his office if they have space.

The welding classes in Gainesville take place from October 4 -29.

Classes scheduled for students in Franklin, Hart, and Stephens counties will run from October 18-November 23.

If you are interested in applying for one of the welding classes and learning a good trade, contact Catherine Allen at 770.538.2732 or [email protected] to apply.
