Wood To Lead Marketing & Communications At TMU

Truett McConnell University (TMU) is excited to announce the appointment of Brandi Wood as the new Director of Marketing & Communications. Announced by TMU’s Vice President of Advancement, Dr. Stacy Hall, Wood will oversee the strategic storytelling of the university across multiple channels. Her responsibilities will encompass managing the Marketing and Communications department, spearheading strategic marketing and branding efforts, overseeing the university’s website and social media presence, producing promotional videos, acting as the senior editor for all university publications, and working in partnership with the Office of Admissions. 

Of Wood’s appointment, Hall commented, “Brandi is a perfect fit for our institution. She is a highly respected professional with a ton of quality experience, but most importantly, she loves the Lord. All of us are super excited for Brandi to join the TMU family and our university will benefit greatly from her Expertise.”

In response to her new role, Wood shared her excitement and vision for her position at TMU. “I’m truly excited to join TMU as the Director of Marketing & Communications. This role offers me a wonderful opportunity to blend my passion for storytelling with my desire to make a meaningful impact. I’m eager to use my skills to promote TMU’s mission and to weave our faith into the fabric of our community’s story.”

Bringing over two decades of expertise in television and video production, Wood is also an accomplished photographer, graphic designer, website developer, and marketing consultant. Her most recent role was as the Director of Creative Services at Tallulah Falls School in Tallulah Falls, Georgia. Her career also includes positions such as Director of Media & Marketing at The Torch Worship Center, Senior Creative Manager at Initials, Inc., and Television Producer & Graphic Designer at Windstream.

Wood holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Mass Communications from American Intercontinental University (AIU). She and her husband Michael have two children, Breelyn (16) and Colton (21).
