Funeral services are set for Friday for the woman found dead last Friday on Tiger Tail Road just outside of Lavonia.

Franklin County Coroner Clayton Bryant identifies the woman as 63-year-old Audrey Jean Fowler McFarlin of Martin, GA.

McFarlin had been a school bus driver for the Franklin County School system for 29 years.

Franklin County Sheriff Steve Thomas denied the rumors of foul play and said it appears McFarlin’s death was medically related.

The Sheriff said he requested the assistance of the GBI and has turned the investigation over to them.

GBI spokesman Jade Hensel tells WLHR News the investigation into McFarlin’s death is still ongoing.

He said no other information about the case or the cause of her death would be released until their investigation is concluded.

The family will receive friends 4:30-6:30 pm Friday, October 27th at Clark’s Creek Baptist Church followed by a Memorial Service held at 6:30 pm, officiated by Rev. Britt Ginn and Rev. Joey Stewart.

A private family graveside service will be held Saturday at Bethany Baptist Church in Milton, GA.

In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to Bethany Baptist Church at 2475 Bethany Baptist Church Rd Milton, GA 30004.
