Winter Weather Preparedness Week – Day 1

Just a reminder that this week is Winter Weather Preparedness Week, and as WNEG News reported last week, Danielle Rhodes, Director of Stephens County Emergency Management, is joining The National Weather Service and the Ready Georgia campaign in offering plans and education on potentially dangerous storms and encouraging residents to prepare for severe winter weather.

Each day during Winter Weather Preparedness Week focus on a different aspect of winter weather, and today’s highlight is specific hazards that can impact the state of Georgia. Included in the list of state-specifc hazards are snow, blizzards and sleet.

Stay tuned to WNEG news tomorrow for information on Tuesday’s focus, Winter Weather Terminology.
