Wanted Washington man caught in Stephens County

A Washington man is behind bars after officers with the Toccoa Police Department spotted an older-model Dodge Charger driving recklessly.

According to Toccoa Police Chief Jimmy Mize on April 11, officers with his department along with troopers with the Georgia State Patrol responded to a BOLO (Be on the lookout) for the vehicle for reckless driving.

An officer in the area observed what seemed to be the vehicle the BOLO had referenced, prompting him to conduct a traffic stop.

Mize said that dispatch advised that the subject had Federal Warrants in another state for drug and gun charges.

At that time, other units including GSP were called to the scene.

Jamecus Lushawn Hodges of Spokane, Washington was arrested on the Federal Warrants and cancelled registration.

He was taken to the Stephens County Jail without further incident.
