Virtual Graduation and Graduate Parade slated for May 22

Plans have been announced for the Stephens County High School Class of 2020 Virtual Graduation.

On Friday, May 22, beginning at 5:00 p.m. Stephens County High School will hold the virtual graduation and broadcast it through its website at schs-stephenscountyschools-ga.schoolloop.com, and on its social media accounts.

A formal Graduation Ceremony will be held on July 17 or October 16.

Following the virtual graduation, at 6:30 p.m. the school has organized a Graduate Parade that will begin at WNEG.

The parade route will start at WNEG Radio then head north down Alexander Street towards Tugalo Street; turn right on Tugalo Street and continue on Big A Road.

The parade will end at Walmart.

Graduates are asked to follow these guidelines: meet in the parking lots behind WNEG Radio at 6:15 p.m.; for safety, please stay in your car; have your named posted on passenger side of car; and only one graduate per car.

Car decorations are encouraged.

During the parade, tune in to 93.1 FM and AM 630 WNEG or at wnegradio.com to listen to the parade.

The Grand Marshals of the parade will include Stephens County High School Valedictorian Ashlyn Merce and Salutatorian Raelyn Sanders.
