Victory for Warnock, Ossoff and how Stephens County Voted

The results are in for the January 5th General Runoff Election.

According to the Georgia Secretary of State’s website with 100 % of the counties/precincts reporting, the unofficial results with totals that may not include all absentee or provisional votes have Democrats Rev. Raphael Warnock, and Jon Ossoff winning seats in the U.S. Senate runoff in Georgia.

In the U.S. Senate race for the seat to fill the unexpired term of Johnny Isakson, the Democrat challenger Warnock has 2,231,728 votes to the Republican incumbent Kelly Loeffler’s 2,176,999. A difference of over 54,000 votes.

In the other U.S. Senate seat, Democrat challenger Jon Ossoff has 2,213,099 votes to Republican incumbent David Perdue’s 2,195,532. A difference of over 17,000 votes.

In the Public Service Commission District 4 race, the incumbent Republican Lauren Bubba McDonald will keep the seat with 2,215,028 to Democrat Daniel Blackmon’s 2,147,052.

A difference of just under 68,000 votes.

In Stephens County, around 10,000 voters went to the polls and the vote went as follows:

For the United States Senate voters in Stephens County had Perdue with 7,979 votes to Ossoff’s 2,058.

For United States Senate, to fill the unexpired term of Johnny Isakson, Stephens County voters had Loeffler with 7,975 total votes, and Warnock received 2,059 votes.

For Public Service Commissioner Stephens County voters had McDonald with 8,024 total votes to Blackman’s 1,903 votes.
