Veterans Day Observance, this weekend

With Veterans day coming up this weekend, on Saturday there will be a Veterans Day Observance held in the Pavilion at Camp Toccoa at Currahee.

The event is slated to begin at 11:00 a.m.

Veterans from all wars and conflicts, families and guests are invited to join.

Transportation to and from the Camp parking lots will be provided for those who need assistance.

Organizer Rick Hack told WNEG News about the forthcoming event.

The American Legion Post 104, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4346, Marine Corps League, Currahee Mountain Detachment 1303, and the American Veterans Post 600 will all have tables set-up with information about their organizations.

Hack explained that these tables will provide answers to any veteran’s questions.

The Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots will be on site accepting new, unwrapped toys for the 2017 Toy Drive.

Following the presentation, the local VFW Post 4346 will provide a hotdog lunch.

Hack encourages all veterans to be involved and attend this Veterans Day Observance.
