The Toccoa-Stephens County Public Library is partnering with the Historic Ritz Theatre to kick-off the 2022 Summer Reading Program.

This summer’s theme is Ocean of Possibilities.

Ritz Theatre General Manager Tami Mayhugh says, today, at 2 p.m. the Ritz will host a free show to kick-off the summer.

She says this free show will feature magician Ken Scott, four-time winner of the Atlanta Magician of the Year Award.

The Ritz will also start its Summer Movie Series this week on Thursday, June 2.

Registration for summer reading begins tomorrow, Wednesday, June 1, and will be followed by the first movie in the summer movie series on Thursday, June 2.

The first movie in the series is Tom and Jerry.

Mayhugh says this event is sponsored by Friends of the Library, Hart EMC, Toccoa-Stephens County Public Library, Beanstack, and The Historic Ritz Theatre.

She adds that while today’s Magic Show is free, all summer movies are just $1 per ticket and $1 for concessions.
