And the aggravated assault trial for Elder Houston is slated for August 20th.

Marqkeela Lawain Hill and William Demetrius McElveen are charged in the February 2016 murder of 21-year-old Tomas Colbert of Toccoa.

Both were indicted in January 2017 by a Stephens County Grand Jury on charges of Malice Murder, Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, along with the new charges, Conspiracy to Commit Murder and Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Assault.

Hill allegedly shot Colbert at a Falls Road apartment in the early morning hours of Feb. 7, 2016.

Colbert died later at Greenville Memorial Hospital as a result of several gunshot wounds.

Meantime, 35-year old Elder Houston will face a jury of his peers on five separate charges.

According to a Grand Jury indictment, in May, 2016 Houston allegedly shot a male victim with a stolen 45 caliber glock handgun.

Houston was indicted on five counts, including Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Theft by Receiving Stolen Property.

Then, in June of 2016, the indictment alleges Houston shot into two different homes with a 45 caliber handgun.

In that case, Houston was indicted on two more counts of Aggravated Assault, two more counts of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime, one more count of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and one count of Obstruction of an Officer.
