Traffic Disruptions on SR365/US123 To Continue

Georgia Department of Transportation work is expected to continue this week on State Route 365/US 123, between Jeanette Jamieson Intersection and the Tom Arrendale Interchange. Traffic on either the northbound or southbound direction will be reduced to one lane in areas of current work throughout daytime hours. Motorists are asked to exercise caution and observe posted construction speed limits and traffic control signs, and to be aware of workers on or near the roadway.

The work, part of a cable barrier installation project with a budget of $1,968,077, is slated for completion in the summer.

Additionally, work will continue this week, and into the summer, on sections of State Route 365 between the Tom Arrendale Interchange and Cornelia. The project, scheduled for night time work, is part of a $13M resurfacing project covering 10 miles of the State Highway, with patching, leveling, topcoating and striping taking place across all four lanes. Work will close down one lane of travel in the direction and area of current work from approximately 7 p.m. to  6 a.m.
