TPD seeks public help in located man suspected of Simple Battery

The Toccoa Police Department is looking for a Toccoa man, believed to have been involved in a simple battery incident.

According to Toccoa Police Chief Jimmy Mize, around 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, officers were dispatched to a physical altercation at Buddy’s Quick Stop, located at 474 Big A Road.

The complainant stated her son had been punched in the face by 25-year-old Aaron Trotter as he entered the store.

Mize says this started a fight between the two that was eventually broken up by a passenger from Trotter’s vehicle.

After officers reviewed store video, and collected statements collected from the incident and speaking with other officers, a warrant was issued for Aaron Trotter for simple battery.

Mize says Trotter was unable to be located and has an active Felony Probation Warrant.

Anyone with information on Trotter’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Toccoa Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit by calling 706-282-3277.
