TPD investigating hit-and-run that left motorcyclist injured

The Toccoa Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run that occurred last week on Big A Road.

According to Toccoa Police Chief Jimmy Mize, the accident occurred Thursday (July 14) afternoon in front of Hardee’s, when a flatbed truck stuck a motorcyclist and fled the scene.

Mize says a BOLO (Be on the Look Out) has been issued for the suspected truck.

The name of the motorcyclist has not been released; however, Mize says he was transported to the hospital to be treated for his injuries.

No other details have been released at this time.
