TPD honors three new police officers after graduation from Police Academy

Three newly hired Police Officers for the Toccoa Police Department recently completed their training at the Police Academy.

Since the Academy didn’t hold a graduation ceremony, Police Chief Jimmy Mize hosted a ceremony to honor the three recent graduates.

The ceremony was held at the Toccoa Police Curtis Scott Substation, located at 589 South Pond Street, in Toccoa, on Friday.

City Clerk Fredda Wheeler swore-in Officer Ryan Brown, Officer Joshua Franks, and Officer Timothy Kelly.

Mize congratulated the three new officers.

“Congratulations. You did it, you’re part of the Toccoa family,” he said.

Brown, Franks, and Kelly will begin training at the Toccoa Police Department this week.
