Tomorrow is election day

Tomorrow is election day for the May general primary runoff.

For the past three-weeks, Stephens County registered voters have cast early ballots for several races.

Stephens County Registrar Bill Cochran reminds residents, who chose not to vote early, that tomorrow is election day.

In Stephens County there is only one precinct for election day voting.

The polls will open tomorrow morning, at the Stephens County Senior Center, located at 55 Rose Lane Park Drive, at 7 a.m. and will remain open until 7 p.m.

Locally, county residents are selecting Commissioner Stanley London’s replacement for the Stephens County Board of Commissioners Post 4 seat.

The two candidates vying for the seat are Republican candidates James Addison and Bryan Dooley.

In state races, Georgia voters will return to the polls tomorrow to select party candidates for several races.

Republican voters will be choosing candidates for the Governor, Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of State races.

Democratic voters will select their candidate for State Schools Superintendent.

Cochran added that anyone who has yet to return their absentee ballots, to do so, before the 7 p.m. deadline, tomorrow evening.
