Today is the final day of early voting

Voters began coming in early Monday for chance to cast an early ballot

This is the last day to cast an early ballot in the November Mid-Term Elections if you haven’t already done so.

Anyone wishing to vote early has until 5 p.m., today, to do so.

Polls open today at 8 a.m., at the Stephens County Registrar’s Office, located in the Stephens County Courthouse Annex on Tugalo Street in downtown Toccoa.

Bill Cochran is the Chief Registrar for Stephens County.

He reminds those interested in early voting that today is the last day of the early voting period.

Earlier this week, Cochran said he is expecting the final voter turnout to be as big as the Presidential election.

“We’ve had a tremendous turnout,” he said. “We haven’t gotten the total numbers yet, but we think it’s going to be a record early voting turnout, which is approaching the Presidential Primary numbers, which is really good.”

Again, early voting for the November 6 election continues through today until 5 p.m. at the Stephens County Registrar’s office.
