Toccoa’s WoodmenLife gives back to community by providing landscaping

The WoodmenLife office in Toccoa is helping to add landscaping to downtown.

Last Thursday, WoodmenLife conducted a Community Improvement Project in cooperation with the City of Toccoa by planting a Japanese Black Pine along with some fall mums and mulch next to the Woodmen Life office at the corner of Foreacre and North Pond Street.

Money for the improvement came as a grant from the home office of WoodmenLife.

Susan Mann is the local WoodmenLife agent, and she says it’s a way for them to give back to the community.

Connie Tabor, City of Toccoa Community Development Director, says this was an example of joining together for make the city better.

Susan Mann says the new tree will be decorated with lights for Christmas.
