North Georgia Technical College (NGTC) recently named Brandon Provitera the 2024 Employee of the Year at the college’s annual service awards holiday luncheon.

Provitera, an audio visual/information technology specialist from Toccoa, has been employed by the college since Oct. 2014 and previously served as a technical support specialist, a library assistant and a library work study.

He graduated from NGTC in 2016 with his networking specialist associate degree. Provitera was nominated by fellow staff members and was complimented on his friendliness, knowledge, and willingness to go above and beyond for the college.

“It means a lot to me to be recognized as Employee of the Year,” Provitera said. “I really appreciate everyone at the college and in my department fostering such a great work environment. Without them and their encouragement, I would not have risen to the heights I am today. It’s a blessing; thank you once again.”

Savonda Turner, NGTC information technology director, said, “Brandon stands out for his exemplary customer service, outstanding work ethic, and dedication to the college. He embodies a consistently positive attitude that has significantly contributed to the spirit of our IT team and is an exceptional example of excellence among NGTC employees. It is a pleasure to work alongside someone of Brandon’s caliber.”
