Toccoa Walks Past Franklin

The Toccoa Little League 11-12 Softball All-Stars took advantage of 16 Franklin County walks and rolled to a 19-4 win over Franklin County in an elimination game Wednesday night in Hartwell.

The game was delayed by weather for 40 minutes.

Toccoa sent 26 batters to the plate in the first two innings and led 17-1 after two innings. The game was called on the 15-run rule after three innings are complete.

Ally Means led Toccoa at the plate going 3 for 3 with 4 runs scored. Camyrn Zigan had 4 RBI’s in the game. Toccoa also got two RBI’s from Aurora Elrod and Siena Malek, and RBI’s from Riley Walker, Rayven Payne, Ella Oldham, and Means.

Toccoa will now face Hart County tonight in the Championship round. Hart County is undefeated in the tournament so Toccoa must defeat them twice to win the title.
