Toccoa to Celebrate the Red and Blue

The City of Toccoa is joining with other municipalities across the State to “Celebrate the Blue and Red.”

Each year the Georgia Municipal Association celebrates Georgia Cities Week as an opportunity to showcase and celebrate cities and the services they provide.

This year the theme is, “Georgia’s Cities True Colors” and will be held April 21 – 27.

Here in Toccoa, Main Street Events Coordinator Sharon Crosby tells WNEG News will be celebrating its Police officers and Firefiighters on Friday, April 26.

After visiting the children at Big A Elementary School, there will be a “Meet and Greet” for the whole community on Doyle Street outside of the police station from 3:30p – 5:30p.

Crosby said everyone is invited to come and “Celebrate the Blue and Red” and meet some of our police officers and firefighters and thank them for their service to our community.
