Toccoa man transported to SCH after wreck at Toccoa City Hall

A Toccoa man was transported to Stephens County Hospital last week following a single vehicle accident that occurred outside Toccoa City Hall.

According to Toccoa Police Chief Jimmy Mize, on September 1, around 11:58 a.m. Randell Eugene Roberson, of Toccoa, drove his 2007 Ford Focus to City Hall to pay his water bill when, for reasons unknown, sped up through the drive through area striking the motion sensor indicator at the pay window.

Roberson then veered right while moving forward striking the concrete barrier wall leaving black marks.

Then still going forward, Roberson finally came to a stop on the opposite side of the parking deck by hitting the concrete barrier wall outlining the entire parking lot, on the upper deck.

Mize says Roberson was then transported to Stephens County Hospital for injuries sustained in the accident.

Roberson has not been cited or charged following the accident.
