Toccoa man leads officers on foot chase

A Toccoa man is in jail after leading police on a foot chase.

According to Toccoa Chief of Police Jimmy Mize, one of his officers were dispatched to the Big A Shopping Center, located on Collins Street, in Toccoa, in reference to a domestic dispute call.

The officers found two occupants sitting inside a vehicle, outside of Save-A-Lot, arguing.

The pair were identified as Leonard Taiwan Brown and Angela M Taylor.

As the officer was detaining the two outside of the vehicle, Brown fled on foot.

The officer fled after him, while calling in other units who caught up with Brown on Sunset Lane.

Leonard Taiwan Brown, 46, of Toccoa was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug related objects and obstruction of a law enforcement officer.

He was transported to the Stephens County Jail.
