Toccoa man arrested for possession of drugs after SCSO receives tip from citizen

A Toccoa man has been arrested for possession of drugs and drug related objects.

According to Stephens County Sheriff Randy Shirley, on June 26, at 7:00 p.m. his office received a tip that a man riding a bicycle, in the area of Fernside Drive, may have active warrants.

Shirley says once deputies arrived, they recognized the person to be Christopher Seay who indeed had outstanding warrants for selling methamphetamine.

During Seay’s apprehension, deputies performed a search of his person, incident to arrest.

He was found to be in possession of multiple clear zip-lock baggies containing suspected methamphetamine and a baggie of suspected marijuana.

43-year-old Christopher Matthew Seay is charged with the sale of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug related objects.

Seay is currently incarcerated in the Stephens County Jail.
