Toccoa Little League Sandlot and Rookie Teams Eliminated in Sectionals
Sectional tournament play ended for the Toccoa Sandlot All-Stars falling to Martinez-Evans Little League American 14-3 at Holland Park in Athens.
It was Toccoa’s 2nd loss to the team from the Augusta area in the tournament.
The Toccoa Sandlot All-Stars had eliminated East Athens 10-4 on Monday night.
Franklin County defeated Martinez-Evans and advanced to the Sectional final vs. Oconee County.
The Toccoa Rookie All-Stars team fell to Franklin County 12-11 in an elimination game. Toccoa, the District 7 Champions, lost earlier in the tournament falling to Athens 15-3 on Sunday. Franklin County was eliminated by Martinez-Evans.
