Toccoa Little League All-Star Teams Fall in State Tournaments

It was a tough weekend for the two Toccoa Little League All-Star teams participating in state tournaments.

Saturday in 10U baseball in Savannah, Toccoa was shutout by Northern of Columbus 9-0. Jack Wilhoit started on the mound for Toccoa and allowed just one run and struck out 5 in 2 and 2/3 innings. Andrew Keown, Konnor Loudermilk, and Andrew Skvarka also pitched in the game. Toccoa was limited to three hits and those were by Skvarka, Jax Higgins, and Ethan Smith.

Toccoa will now face Peachtree City National this morning at 10 a.m. in an elimination game.

On Sunday, the 10U Softball team also faced Northern of Columbus and fell by a score of 9-3. Kylee Glaze, Brooklyn Brown, and Ally Means all scored for Toccoa.

Toccoa will now face the host team Warner Robins American tonight at 8 P.M. in an elimination game. Northern of Columbus is facing West Point at 6 with the winner advancing to the state final.

Toccoa’s Little League All-Star Baseball team begins District 7 tournament play vs. Franklin tonight in Rabun County. You can hear the game broadcast live here with airtime scheduled for 6:45 p.m. and first pitch at 7 on WNEG.
