Toccoa Little League 12U Eliminated in District Tournament

The Hart County 11-12-year-old All-Stars eliminated the Toccoa All-Stars 14-4 Tuesday night at Doyle Street Park.

Hart County started the game with six straight hits and five runs in the top of the first inning and never trailed after that.

Toccoa’s Harley Thomas drove in the first run with a RBI single to put the locals on the board. After Hart County scored five more runs in the top of the third, Toccoa got a little momentum with three runs of their own. Easton Pollack and Brant Smith drove in runs in the bottom half of the inning.

Hart County pitcher Trooper Ayers tossed shutout ball for the final three innings.

With the loss Toccoa ends their run in the District Seven Tournament.

Elbert County and Franklin County will play tonight in the first game at Doyle Street Park at 6pm and Rabun County and Hart County will play in the night-cap at 8PM.

The next broadcast on WNEG will be on Friday July 7th in the District 7 Junior League Tournament. Airtime on that date will be 6:45 P.M. Toccoa will play the winner of the Oglethorpe-Elbert County game being played on Thursday July 6th.
