Toccoa Junior League All-Stars falls to Athens, 15-9

The Toccoa Junior League All-Stars lost to Athens Monday night in the State Junior League Baseball Tournament in Columbus, 15 to 9.

After trailing 7 to 2 early in the game, Toccoa battled back in the bottom of the 4th inning to take a one-run lead with a 9 to 8 score at the end of the inning.

Athens came back to tie the game in the top of the 5th, then added 6 more runs in the top of the 6th inning, securing the victory.

Athens now moves on to a possible championship game Wednesday with a 2 & 0 record in the double-elimination tournament.
