Toccoa Falls to Team South Carolina in Southeast Region Final

The Toccoa Little League Senior All-Stars tournament run came to an end Wednesday morning falling to Irmo, South Carolina 10-3 in the Southeast Regional Championship in Safety Harbor, Florida.

The South Carolina team defeated Virginia and Tennessee on Tuesday to advance to the final and jumped out early on Wednesday scoring six runs in the bottom of the 1st inning.

Charlie Mejia and Boykin Bickley hit solo home runs for the South Carolina team. Mejia led the offense with three RBI’s.

Toccoa got RBI’s from Tyler Zigan, Jax Higgins, and Chase Pollock.

Findlay Ward started the game on the mound for Toccoa and Hayden Scott pitched three innings of relief.

The Irmo Little League South Carolina team will now advance to play in their home state in Easley this weekend in the World Series.

Toccoa’s overall tournament record ends at 6-2.
