Toccoa City Hall to reopen on Monday

The City of Toccoa will reopen City Hall beginning next week.

During the recent Toccoa City Commission meeting City Manager Billy Morse announced that the city is planning to have City Hall reopen to the public on Monday.

“We are planning to open City Hall back up to the public next week. We will take all necessary precautions to sanitize and social distance. We’ll see how it goes, it may be sort of limited-access, but we are planning to open City Hall to walk-in traffic next Monday,” he said.

City Mayor Terry Carter asked Morse if all city employees would be returning to work as normal.

Morse says the city has left it up to each department head to determine when staff will resume normal hours, instead of staggering shifts since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Again, beginning on Monday, June 15, Toccoa City Hall will be open to all walk-in traffic.
