Toccoa City Commissioners met for more than six hours

Toccoa City Commissioners met yesterday for more than six hours, convening the annual planning session at noon, which ended at 4:30 with a brief tour of the Toccoa City Hall building to give all commissioners a chance to see the extent of deterioration and damage to the structure as the city begins to look at conducting extensive renovation to the building. Commissioners then moved directly into the regularly scheduled meeting at 5 p.m.

In the coming days on WNEG radio and wnegradio.com, we will provide details of both the planning session and the regular meeting, including an interview with Mayor Gail Fry and Vice Mayor Terry Carter regarding their thoughts on each of the city department’s presentation and goals for the coming year, as discussed during yesterday’s planning session.
