Toccoa Advances to State Championship in Little League Senior Division

Fueled by five home runs, the Toccoa Senior League All-Stars advanced to the Championship Round of the State Tournament Tuesday evening with a resounding 14-1 win over previously unbeaten Oconee County.

Konner Loudermilk crushed two home runs, and Chase Pollack, Tyler Zigan, and Findley Ward each cleared the fences in the five-inning win.

Andrew Keown went the distance for Toccoa on the mound, giving up just three hits and striking out 6.

Loudermilk ended up with five RBI’s, Fin Ward had three and Myles
Ivester also knocked in a couple of runs. Chase Pollack and Tyler Zigan had an RBI each.

Walker Duvall, Arsen McCauley and Sam Crabtree had singles for Oconee.

The two teams will play again this evening at Doyle Street Park. The winner takes the State Tournament title and moves onto the Southeast Regional Tournament in Safety Harbor, Florida.

Game time is 6 P.M. and airtime on WNEG Radio will be 5:45 P.M.
