Toccoa Advances to District 7 12U Championship

The Toccoa Little League All-Stars have advanced to the District 7 Championship with a 14-4 win in 4 innings over Hart County Friday night in Hartwell.

After a 90 minute weather delay, Hart County scored 2 runs in the top of the first to take an early lead. It was all Toccoa after that. Toccoa scored 3 runs in the bottom of the inning, 6 runs in the 2nd inning, 4 runs in the 3rd inning and a run in the 4th to clinch the win on the 10-run rule.

Isiah Patterson pitched all 4 innings to get the win for Toccoa allowing 4 runs on 8 hits and striking out seven. Hart County used 5 pitchers in the game.

Lincoln Hicks had 4 RBI’s to lead the Toccoa offense. Toccoa also got two RBI’s each from Brant Smith and Landry Williams, and Caden Hamilton, Duke Collins, and Keegan Crunkleton had RBI’s.

Easton Kelley led Hart County with 3 RBI’s.

Toccoa will now rest until Sunday afternoon when they will face the winner of Saturday’s Hart County-Franklin County game. The winner of that game will have to defeat Toccoa twice to claim the title.
