This is the last week to sign up for Salvation Army Angel Tree Program

This is the final week to sign up for the Salvation Army Angel Tree Program.

The Angel Tree Program is for families and caregivers who need help with gifts for their children ages 0 to 12 this Christmas.

Salvation Army Toccoa Service Center Director Rebecca Dixon says the applications will be accepted through October 31.

The Toccoa Salvation Army serves Stephens, Franklin, and Hart counties. Residents of these counties who are unable to provide clothing and toys for their children for the 2021 Christmas Season, are welcomed to apply online at saangeltree.org.

When you go to the web site, you will be asked to enter your ZIP code and it will automatically direct you to the Salvation Army office that serves your county.

Again, Parents, Grandparents or Guardians with custody of children ages 0-12 are eligible.

Toys for Tots will also be providing gifts for children this year, but Dixon said you may only apply with one group.

Dixon said they hope to help over 200 families, which she said would include up to 600 children, this year. And the actual angel tree ornaments with a child’s name and gift list will be available beginning in November.

Again, to sign up online, simply go to saangeltree.org.

If you have any questions, you can contact Dixon via email at [email protected].
