Third Annual Toast of Toccoa Coming to Doyle Street Saturday

Toccoa Main Street is gearing up for its third annual Toast of Toccoa event this weekend.

Toast of Toccoa happens this Saturday from noon to 5p on Doyle Street and replaces Taste of Toccoa, which was held annually for about 10 years in the downtown area.

Main Street Events Coordinator Sharon Crosby says they are hoping for another successful event.

Toast of Toccoa is an art show where we highlight the work of our local and regional artists,” Crosby explained. “We will have anywhere between 30 and 50 artists showing and selling their work. Plus the art we will have craft beer tasting as well as wine tasting.”

Crosby noted wine vendors will come from around the Northeast Georgia region, including here in Stephens County.

“For $10 people can buy ‘tastes’ and they will also get a glass. They will also get a wrist band and that will signify that they can buy the wine or the beer,” she said.

Bottles of wine, Crosby said, will also be available for purchase.

Additionally, Toast of Toccoa will feature craft beers from various breweries such as, Creature Comforts Brewing Company in Athens, Currahee Brewing Company from Franklin, North Carolina.

Also, all of the downtown shops and restaurants will be open and there will be three food trucks available so you can sit down, eat, and enjoy the live entertainment with your food and beer or wine.

Plus, there will also be a cruise-in for car enthusiasts from 1p to 3:30p put on by the Currahee Cruisers.

Crosby said it is a great way to enjoy a leisurely Saturday afternoon. For more information you can contact Toccoa Main Street at 706-282-3309.
