The Hope Center of Toccoa dissolves partnership with the Wellness and Recovery Center

The Hope Center of Toccoa is dissolving itself from the operations of The Wellness and Recovery Center at 467 West Doyle Street.

According to Hope Center Director Steve Paysen this was not an easy decision due to the enormous investment of time and energy; but, the best decision based upon mutually agreed terms between Paysen and former Hope Center Board Members Travis Dobbs and Kathy Whitmire allowing Whitmire and Dobbs to continue leading the detox facility under the new name The Center for Wellness and Recovery for Northeast Georgia.

The mutual agreement also allows the new organization the ability to purchase the building and access the equity to gain much needed revenue to continue operations.

Paysen says he believes that our community greatly needs what this facility offers and is grateful to have had the opportunity to help get the facility open.

The Hope Center of Toccoa will continue to serve the community at 158 South Broad Street, Monday through Saturday with three daily meals, showers, counseling, emergency shelter, GED program and laundry services for those in need.
