The Dream to host Basketball Camp in Bowman

Local Community outreach program the Dream will be holding a basketball camp for children this month.

Dream CEO PJ Smith, says the camp is about more than just basketball.

“We don’t only teach the game of basketball, we teach the way of life,” said Smith. “How they’re supposed to treat their family, parents- whoever they live with. We like them to put God first in their life.”

The Camp, which is in its 7th year now, will be held in Bowman at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

The Dream Basketball camp will be daily from 8:15 to 1:00pm and a free lunch will be served each day for the children. A $20 donation is asked for in lieu of a registration fee.

The first 100 children that register for this year’s camp will receive a free t-shirt, and you can learn more about the Dream Basketball Camp by contacting Smith at 706.961.1196.
