TFC Sweeps 3-game home series over Trinity Baptist College
The Toccoa Falls College Baseball team swept a 3-game home series over Trinity Baptist College during the weekend.
On Friday TFC won 5 to 3.
In games broadcast on WNEG Saturday, Toccoa Falls won a close contest in the first game of the double-header, 4 to 3.
Brandon Tamayo knocked in the winning run on a 2-out single in the bottom of the 6th inning.
Josh Slate pitched a complete game to get the win.
In the second game, Toccoa Falls broke out to an early 5 to 0 lead in the first inning and cruised to a 9 to 3 victory.
Justin Skinner pitched the complete game to pick up the win.
Toccoa Falls improved to 24 & 18 overall on the season.
They’ll travel to Middle Georgia State on Tuesday, before hosting Piedmont International for a 3 game series beginning Friday at 3 p.m.
They’ll play a double-header Saturday with the first game at 12 noon.
93.1 FM & AM-630 WNEG will broadcast the Saturday double-header with airtime at 11:50 a.m.
