TFC ends regular season with 3-game series sweep

The Toccoa Falls College baseball team ended the regular season with a 3-game home series sweep of Piedmont International University over the weekend.

TFC won Friday’s game, 8 to 3.  In a double-header broadcast on WNEG Saturday, Toccoa Falls won, 6 to 0 in the first game, and 13 to 4 in the second game.

Toccoa’s Josh Slate pitched a complete game giving up only 1 hit in the first game, while TFC batters accumulated 7hits, including a 3-run home run by Jesse Thomas.

In the second game, Toccoa Falls scored in every inning, including 3 runs each of the first two innings as they had 11 hits.

Justin Skinner picked up the win on the mound.

Toccoa Falls ends the season with an overall record of 27 wins and 19 losses.

They’re off until May 8th when they travel to Jacksonville, Florida, for the NCCAA South Region Tournament at Trinity Baptist College.
