TCC will meet tonight

The Toccoa City Commission will meet this afternoon for its regular scheduled meeting.

The meeting will begin promptly at 5:00 p.m. inside the City Commission/Court Room at Toccoa City Hall.

Up for consideration is a proclamation recognizing Georgia Cities Week and a resolution authorizing an application for Appalachian Regional Commission Funding for the Ritz Theatre Addition.

If approved, the proclamation will designate April 24^th through the 30^th as Georgia Cities Week.

The resolution will authorize the submission of an application to the Appalachian Regional Commission for grant assistance for Fiscal Year 2023.

The City of Toccoa will utilize this funding to construct an addition to house a new lobby, concession stand, ticket booth, restrooms, and other necessary features.

The city is requesting $750,000 from the Appalachian Regional Commission with the city providing a 30 percent cash match of $225,000.

Again, the City Commission will meet this evening at 5:00 p.m. inside the City Commission/Court Room at Toccoa City Hall.
