TCC will meet today for regular scheduled meeting

The Toccoa City Commission will meet this evening for its regular scheduled meeting.

The meeting will begin at 5:00 p.m. inside the City Commission/Court Room at Toccoa City Hall.

The Commission is set to hold its second reading and public hearing for the proposed Fiscal Year 2023 Budget.

As WNEG News previously reported, the City Commission held the first reading during its second regular scheduled meeting in May.

During that meeting, City Manager Billy Morse provided a summary of the budget to the commission.

Including the general fund, water/wastewater fund, natural gas fund, solid waste fund and the Lake Toccoa Facilities fund the budget totals $37,841,341.

The budget also includes a reserve fund of $636,139 and a Special Revenue Fund of $2,593,263.

Including all funds, the Fiscal Year 2023 budget totals $41,070,743.

Morse says the budget includes a salary increase for all full-time employees.

Fiscal Year 2023 will start July 1, 2022.

The Commission will also consider motions for the approval of the 2022-2023 Georgia’s Exceptional Main Street Program Memorandum of Understanding, Information Technology Service Agreement with Quick Technologies, Ping’s Grill Lease Agreement, and the Supplemental Agreement for Completed Airport Surface Improvements Projects.

The Commission will hold two additional public hearings, one for a Zoning Variance Request from Kenneth Jarvis for the property located at 104 Seminole Drive, the second is a rezoning request from St. Timothy Orthodox Church for the property located at 742 Collins Road.

Again, the City Commission will meet this evening for its regular scheduled meeting at 5:00 p.m. inside the City Commission/Court Room at Toccoa City Hall.
