TCC will meet Monday for regular scheduled meeting

The Toccoa City Commission will meet on Monday for its regular scheduled meeting.

The meeting will be conducted through teleconference. Anyone wishing to attend the meeting can dial-in at 706-898-5160. After dialing in you’ll be prompted to input the code 790453.

Up for consideration is a Standard Utility Agreement with the Georgia Department of Transportation for Water Line Work on Falls Road at Toccoa Creek for the Bridge Replacement Project.

As WNEG News recently reported, the Toccoa City Commission approved a similar agreement with the Georgia Department of Transportation to share the cost to relocate the sewer line on Falls Road for the bridge replacement over Toccoa Creek.

During the Commission meeting earlier this month, City Manager Billy Morse explained that the agreement will offset the city’s cost by 31 percent.

The new agreement will allow GDOT to share a portion of the cost to relocate the water line on Falls Road.

According to Morse, the total project cost is estimated at $294,556 with the City’s responsibility projected to be 50 percent of In-kind costs or $109,668 and 100 percent of betterment costs or $75,220 for a total of $184,888.

Morse says funding will be provided through the SPLOST V account.

Also, up for consideration is an appointment to the Alcohol Beverage Control Board and the consideration of bids for the Eastanollee Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements Project.

Again, the Toccoa City Commission will meet on Monday, April 26, at 5:00 p.m.

The meeting will be conducted through teleconference. Anyone wishing to attend the meeting can dial-in at 706-898-5160. After dialing in you’ll be prompted to input the code 790453.
