TCC will hold second reading of proposed FY23 Budget on Monday

The Toccoa City Commission will hold its second reading and public hearing of the proposed Fiscal Year 2023 Budget during its next meeting on Monday, June 13.

Including the general fund, water/wastewater fund, natural gas fund, solid waste fund and the Lake Toccoa Facilities fund the budget totals $37,841,341.

The budget also includes a reserve fund of $636,139 and a Special Revenue Fund of $2,593,263.

Including all funds, the Fiscal Year 2023 budget totals $41,070,743.

As WNEG News previously reported, the City Commission held the first reading during its second regular scheduled meeting in May.

During that meeting, City Manager Billy Morse provided a summary of the budget to the commission.

Morse says the budget includes a salary increase for all full-time employees.

A motion approving the first reading of the proposed budget was made by Commissioner Terry Carter with Commissioner Gail Fry seconding the motion.

The motion was approved unanimously.

Again, the City Commission will hold the second reading on Monday, June 13, during its regular scheduled meeting beginning at 5:00 p.m. inside the City Commission/Court Room at Toccoa City Hall.

Fiscal Year 2023 will start July 1, 2022.
