TCC to meet tonight for regular scheduled meeting

The Toccoa City Commission will meet this evening for its regular scheduled meeting.

The meeting will begin promptly at 5:00 p.m. inside the City Commission/Court Room at Toccoa City Hall.

Up for consideration is the purchase of an airport authority courtesy car and the monthly finance report for June 2022.

According to City Manager Billy Morse, the Airport Authority is in need of an updated Courtesy vehicle. The current vehicles are over twenty years old.

He says they do not meet the expectations that visitors to our community by air need for utility and customer experience.

The Airport Authority is recommending, upon the agreement of the City and County, to proceed with the purchase of a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox, from Thomas Auto Sales.

The cost of the vehicle has been offered to the Airport Authority for a total of $18,617; however, it will be split by three ways for the City, County, and Airport.

If approved, the city would be responsible for $6,205.67.

Again, the Toccoa City Commission will meet today at 5:00 p.m. inside the City Commission/Court Room at Toccoa City Hall.
