T-SC Chamber Holds Ribbon Tying at The Venue at Broken Bridge Farms

The Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon tying at The Venue at Broken Bridge Farms on Thursday.

The Venue with a beautiful view is located at 341 Williams Circle in Toccoa and owned and operated by David and Brenda Martin.

David Martin tells WNEG news what led to the Venue at Broken Bridge Farms. “It started out as a cattle farm. That is what we were going to do when I retired. About a year ago, me and Brenda were standing outside talking and she shared with me that her dream was to have a wedding venue. We started dating when we were 15 years old and just celebrated 44 years, and I had never heard that before. So, it blessed me and encouraged me that was her dream because she had sacrificed that our entire life. She was a stay at home mom, raised all of our children, our grandkids, we started a company and she supported me, and I prayed right then with God’s help I would do everything in my power to get this venue built for her. Just the blessing to see her face, the excitement and the joy as every little process took place is worth everything in the world to me.”

The Venue at Broken Bridge Farms offer wedding packages but Martin says they would like it to be so much more for the community. “ We don’t want to be typecast as just a wedding venue. We would love to have the kids. We have a huge corral and a nice place for the kids to work some of their animals for FFA, corporate events, we have Ebenezer Baptist Church that is having a date night here, anyone that wants to gather as an event, we want to be the venue location for that.”
