Superintendent Meet and Greet will be held on Thursday

Stephens County Schools will hold a drop-in meet and greet with new Superintendent Dr. Constance Franklin.

The meet and greet will be held in the Legacy Room at Stephens County High School between 4 and 6 p.m. on Thursday, January 20.

All staff, parents, and community members are welcome to drop in.

As WNEG News previously reported, Franklin was named Stephens County School Superintendent by the Stephens County Board of Education on January 4.

According to Board of Education Chairman Jim Bellamy, Franklin’s official start date will be on March 1, 2022.

After the Board of Education unanimously approved a motion hiring Franklin as Superintendent, she thanked the Board for their support.

Franklin says she’s eager to meet everyone and to become a part of the community.

Franklin fills the position left vacant by former Stephens County School Superintendent Dr. Daniel Oldham who was reassigned from his duties as Superintendent in August after the Board of Education announced its plan to go in a different direction.

Again, on Thursday, January 20, Dr. Franklin will be in the Legacy Room at Stephens County High School from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. for a meet and greet.
