“Stuff the Bus” slated for Nov. 18

The Toccoa Rotary Club is hosting the 5th annual Stuff the Bus 5k run/walk Saturday, Nov. 18.

The Toccoa Rotary Club’s goal for “Stuff the Bus” is to collect food to distribute to local residents.

Leon Womack, member of the Rotary Club, told WNEG News about the event.

“The run/walk starts and finishes at Boyd Field, located at 338 N. Pond St. in Toccoa, and is a USATF certified course and a Peachtree Road Race Qualifier,” Womack said.

You can use your time on this course, to secure a closer starting spot in the Peachtree Road Race Qualifier.

The cost to participate is $25 and two cans of food per runner.

Womack added that proceeds raised will fund Rotary projects throughout the community.

Race day registration begins at 7:00 a.m. and the race will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m.

All runners and walkers are welcome.
