Last week, during the Second Annual Student Success Expo, Stephens County School Superintendent Dr. Connie Franklin gave the State of the School address.
Talking of this past year’s theme, Growing Greatness, Franklin thanked school personnel as well as parents and students for the year’s successes. She added that Greatness does not grow in comfort zones, and talked about the challenges students presented with, and overcame, during the year. She also talked about the safety initiatives the school implemented during the year and highlighted the advances in reading, technology, and other academic benchmarks over the past school year. In closing, a student from each school in the district talked about what Growing Greatness means to them.
