Stephens County United Way board members have set a goal of $100,000.00 for the 2024 United Way Campaign, which is now underway.

Board chair Julie Paysen said, “Too many households in Stephens County do not earn enough to afford the basic necessities of life.”

She added, “United, we can do so much more than we can do on our own to help our neighbors, friends, and family. Please consider giving to the Stephens County United Way today.”

She explained that Stephens County United Way is an effective, accountable, local organization that gets results by working with seven local non-profit agencies who serve the community and assist in improving quality of life. Those agencies are The Hope Center, Reins of Life, FAITH’S Powerhouse for Kids, Circle of Hope, Boys and Girls Club of Toccoa-Stephens County, Boy Scouts of N.E. GA Council, and Stephens County 4-H.

For the 2024 Campaign, avenues for giving include employer payroll deduction, checks can be dropped off to Stacy Miller at South State Bank on Big A Road or Tammy Camp at NGCU on Mize Road, donations can be made online at habershamunitedway.org/stephens-county or by scanning the QR code from the signs located beside Chick-fil-A or at NGCU on Mize Road.
