Stephens County United Way Campaign 2024 is Underway

The 2024 Stephens County United Way Campaign is underway and Board Members are working toward a $100,000 goal for the year.

Board chair Julie Paysen told WNEG News last week that the campaign is off to a good start this year, and said that there is a new energy and focus in the efforts this year.

She explained that Stephens County United Way is an effective, accountable, local organization that gets results by working with seven local non-profit agencies who serve the community and assist in improving quality of life. Currently, those agencies are The Hope Center, Reins of Life, FAITH’S Powerhouse for Kids, Circle of Hope, Boys and Girls Club of Toccoa-Stephens County, Boy Scouts of N.E. GA Council, and Stephens County 4-H.

Paysen said the Board works hard to partner with organizations who are working here in Stephens County to improve the lives of local residents.

She said they are about half way to their $100,000 goal, and are hoping to bring more supporters onboard.

She added that Stephens County is always supportive of United Way’s efforts.

She stressed that donations of all levels are needed and appreciated.

For the 2024 Campaign, avenues for giving include employer payroll deduction, checks can be dropped off to Stacy Miller at South State Bank on Big A Road or Tammy Camp at NGCU on Mize Road, donations can be made online at habershamunitedway.org/stephens-county or by scanning the QR code from the signs located beside Chick-fil-A or at NGCU on Mize Road.

Local companies are also being sought for corporate partnerships, which Paysen says gives companies a way to support its philanthropic goals by helping to solve pressing issues right here in the community. Partnership recognition includes package level promotion and recognition for the company.
