Stephens County Schools will continue to provide ALL students free breakfast, lunch

Stephens County School System’s Nutrition Director Kim Caudell has announced that all Stephens County Schools will continue to provide free breakfast and lunch to all students throughout the 2021-2022 academic year.

She says the United States Department of Agriculture has provided waivers through June 30, 2022.

This will allow the school nutrition program to serve nutritious meals to all students, at no cost to families.

Caudell says students at Stephens County High School will not have to complete free and reduced meal applications in order to qualify for meals.

All complete meals will be served at no costs to all students in the district.

While the schools are offering complete meals at no costs, students will still need to purchase a la carte items, such as smart snack approved snacks or beverages, depending on the grade level.
